Design, accessibility and efficiency: the Mango store in Stuttgart is renovated with Manusa automatic doors

Retail

The Mango store in Stuttgart (Germany) has renovated its main entrance to improve customer comfort and optimise energy efficiency. Until now, it had a manual door that slowed down traffic, especially at peak times. In collaboration with its official distributor in Germany, Lange Automatiktüren GmbH, Manusa installed a central-opening automatic telescopic sliding door. This system is ideal for premises with limited space, as it allows the passage to be widened to two-thirds of the available space, resulting in a more comfortable and accessible entrance, even for customers carrying bags or trolleys.

The new door incorporates obstacle detection sensors and automatic reopening, ensuring the safety of people and the proper functioning of the access system, complying with all current product and usage regulations.

One of the project's objectives was also to reduce energy consumption. Unlike manual doors, automatic doors only open when necessary and do so at high speed, preventing climate control losses. This enables significant energy savings and improves sustainability for the shop.

An automatic door is integrated into the design of the premises

Aesthetic integration was also key. The door leaves were customised with a lacquered aluminium frame that provides robustness and harmonises with the store's design. In addition, this finish makes it easier to identify the entrance and minimises the risk of collisions during busy periods. The profiles, available in a wide range of colours, can be adapted to the corporate identity of each business.

With this renovation, Manusa consolidates its international presence and demonstrates that an access door not only facilitates the movement of people, but it also conveys the image and values of each brand from the very first contact with the customer.
